Map x The Exploress

In collaboration with Made with Map we present...

“Istanbul means the sea to me. It is filled with so many beautiful corners to sit and enjoy views of the water but my favourite is the opposite—to be on a ferry and watch the view of this beautiful city.” - @ohhappystudio #finditliveit #mapxistanbul #exploress

Istanbul does not consist of only two sides. Prince Islands are also a part of the city. Their name comes from the fact that during the Byzantine and Ottoman periods, princes and other members of royal family were exiled there. In sunny days, these islands can be seen clearly from the shores. I love how there are different possibilities of living in this city. - @ohhappystudio

Located in Kosuyolu, Kadikoy, Radika is my new favourite restaurant in the city. You can try a good range of Aegean cuisine but my personal recommendations are “kabak cicegi dolmasi” and “ot kavurmasi” with a glass of “raki” of course. - @ohhappystudio

Hagia Sophia is a magical place where I love to see traces of two religions together. Former Greek Orthodox patriarchal basilica, later an imperial mosque, and now a museum, Hagia Sophia is a history itself. Built in 537, it’s survived many fires, earthquakes, and wars. Currently undergoing restoration, it still welcomes visitors. - @ohhappystudio

Cihangir is the home for second hand shops where it’s so easy to find charming things to buy. I love to walk around this lovely neighbourhood, everything looks aged and stylish. - @ohhappystudio
