When booking our hotel stay in Paris, I wanted to find a place near public transportation and not too close to all of the main attractions. Although this was our first time in this beautiful city of love, we normally tend to opt for options that will allow us to experience the local lifestyle rather than tourist attractions. I stumbled across Hotel WO and immediately decided to book! It is such a cute boutique hotel located in Paris’ 8th arrondissement. It’s situated on a quiet street just minutes away from beautiful restaurants and (bonus for me) a short walk from Gare Saint-Lazare.
Upon arrival we were greeted by such a friendly staff and to our surprise were upgraded to a bit of a larger room. No details are overlooked in this small designer hotel. The lobby houses a small library with coffee and teas to enjoy; our room overlooked the city scape, during the day you can observe the hustle and bustle of everyday life while at night the streets mellowed. While the room itself is small - as I know most Parisian hotels are - this one is just large enough for the two of us to move about comfortably. Their breakfast buffet is located in the hotel basement, a pretty intimate setting as the tables are close enough to one another that we ended up having a wonderful hour or two long conversation with a beautiful couple spending the week in Paris for their honeymoon! Turns out this hotel is perfect for making friends. I highly recommend Hotel WO and cannot wait to return to this perfect city, I will certainly keep this on my list of favorite accommodations.
