Public Relations Internship

Postion: Public Relations Intern

Location: Tampa Bay Area or Remote

Compensation: Non-paid; credit given if applicable.

Hours: Flexible. 8 − 10 hours per week minimum.

Description:

We are looking for someone with Public Relations experience who excels in professional writing. You will create press releases, network and develop PR connections, and seek positive and relevant press opportunities for The Exploress.

Responsibilities: 

• Monitor all forms of media
• Schedule and coordinate interviews, photo shoots, and other special events
• Write press releases and other materials
• Assist with mailings & print production
• Create interview preparation materials
• Compile contact lists
• Search for press clippings

Requirements:

Applicants must have strong communication skills - both written and oral - and have a solid understanding of social media. Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or Journalism majors preferred.
